I like the way the striped sweater is shaping up. The openings on the bag look good too. One concern I always have with grommets is that they are far heavier than the fabric and can cause more problems than they solve (making new little holes instead of the hole you actually want).

You could consider adding cording to the bound buttonholes to make them a bit more sturdy if you find that the drawstring is putting too much friction on the version without the cording.

Those are really nice project bags.

I like the bag ideas. As someone who currently uses a selection of plastic carrier bags in various stages of decay for my projects, these certainly have a lot of appeal!

I understand the knitted baby jackets, I think to be knitting anything rather than procrastinating about what needs finishing is probably the best option, although I always get stuck between projects! Glad to see the bread plan is working!

The bagels look great! I do love a good bagel, especially toasted. The baking in my arrangement is done by the Mister, but perhaps I could trespass on his territory for bagels...or, hmm, better yet, get him to make them :)

This is amazing. I cannot imagine doing all this. It is finicky chemistry, where much time, flour, and butter can be wasted. I bow.

Loving seeing the results of the yeast based experiments ;o. I can imagine croissants being an absolute faff, and certainly not worth me ever contemplating with a plentiful and delicious supply at our village baker's. I'm intrigued by the brioche though, and can see myself giving that a try.

Great to see the bread and the socks, I did sourdough loaves this week. We don't really eat any Brioche in this house, but I do want to have a go at danish and croissants eventually. Hopefully going to be finishing off some knitting this week and heading back to the loom!

Here's the brioche recipe I use:
http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Brioche-Dough-103412

It's a crapton of butter, and the bread is basically greasy with it when it comes out, but it does taste good.
