My younger son played one of these for a while! He was older, about 12. Mr. WFB is right, though–it’s better than the saxophone my older son played. Ouch!

fantastic! Daniel had grown so much! The fun thing is I know exactly where he is sitting!!!! What made him choose that instrument??
Hug him for me!(if he remembers me!)

Goodness me, this lad looks a natural!
I hope he quickly progresses to playing the interesting stuff, as opposed to the “interesting” stuff.

Terri, Daniel frequently asks when you’re coming back over, so yes, he remembers you :-)
Sophie, he’s actually got a better embouchure than me and I’ve been playing something like 30-odd years. It’s frightening…. it really is, although like every seven year old, he’s tried to tell me several times already how to play my cornet. Kids!

Aawwww, lovely photo, Caroline!
Now I know why you were fervently knitting those reinforced earmuffs….

He looks wonderful! I think the euphonium will be a great instrument to learn. I played the sousaphone myself, so oooom-pa-pa away!
